Provision of business orientated legal solutions.
Provision of accurate expert and specialist legal advice to all divisions and business units within credit.
Preparation of legal agreements and collateral (research negotiation and drafting thereof) including but not limited to confidentiality, risk sharing loan (both short term and long term), sale of book debts, and guarantee agreements as well as heads of agreement, memoranda of understanding, term sheets, property finance, and other credit relation legal documentation.
Ability to draft agreements, collateral, and other credit legal documentation without reliance on a precedent.
Legal risk management pertaining to legal credit issues within all the applicable credit departments and business units within the bank.
Representation on Industry Bodies and Forums.
NCA and CPA interpretation.
Identification of legal problems interpreting and evaluating legal information.
Knowledge of and experience in complex commercial transactions.

Knowledge and experience:
Appropriate legal qualification (BA / BCom LLB / BProc LLB).
Admitted as an Attorney.
Experience:
Preferably an understanding of the business principles and processes within a retail and business banking environment including the legal environment in which a general commercial bank operates.
Extensive commercial law and commercial drafting experience as set out above.
Computer literate.
5 - 10 years post qualification experience in a similar environment.
