The Role:

1. Goods Receiving
2. Binning
3. Picking
4. Despatch
5. Counter Assistance – Cash Sales
6. Stock Counts
7. Surplus returns / Scrapping
8. Housekeeping
9. Safety
10. Fork Lift Handling

The receiving of goods from the various suppliers includes offloading containers, unpacking parcels, and checking credit returns for damages and accuracy.

Relevant documentation (GRN's) must be completed.

Verifying items against documents for correct quantity and part number is essential.

Report any defects to the Logistics Manager.

Identify correct store locations in SAP and ensure accurate storage.

Picking items as per pick slips and reporting deviations to the Stores Supervisor is necessary.

Ensure goods are packed securely for delivery and check delivery notes for accuracy.

Assist customers at the counter with collections and cash sales, complying with procedures.

Participate in stock counting and surplus returns, and assist with scrapping and warehouse cleaning.

Maintain safety standards and report any unsafe situations to the Stores Supervisor.

Operate a forklift as required, ensuring accuracy in all duties performed.

What we expect of you:

• A good knowledge and understanding of Atlas Copco products
• Computer literacy, particularly with the SAP system
• Interpersonal skills to work as part of the warehouse team
• Good communication skills for assisting customers
• Understanding of the flow of goods through the warehouse
• Educational Qualification: Grade 12

Other Abilities / Skills:

• Warehouse experience essential
• Computer Literacy
• SAP knowledge is an asset
• Forklift License
• Valid driver's license Code 08 (Code 10 is an asset)
