Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Counsel with expertise in Contract Management to join our Welkom legal team. You will draft, review, negotiate, and manage a diverse range of commercial contracts while ensuring compliance with South African law and company policy.

The ideal candidate is an Admitted Attorney with at least 4 years in commercial law, strong drafting skills, and the ability to advise stakeholders across levels.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney with at least 4 years of experience in commercial law, focusing on drafting and negotiation.
• Ability to manage a high volume of contracts efficiently and accurately.
• Strong understanding of SA contract law principles.
• Excellent drafting skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communication with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience with contract management software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including service agreements, supply contracts, and NDAs.
• Develop and implement standardized contract templates and clauses to ensure consistency and efficiency.
• Advise business stakeholders on contractual terms, obligations, and potential risks.
• Manage the contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, and terminations.
• Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records and databases.
