Legal Counsel- Commercial Law

Our client in Alberton is looking for a Commercial Lawyer on a 1 year contract.

POSITION INFO:

We are looking for someone to fulfil the role on a 1 year contract basis.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Law degree from a reputable university
2. Licensed to practice law in their country ("qualified")
3. Minimum 5 years of Post Qualification experience in Commercial law (PQE)
4. At least 3 years of experience with a law firm; area of practice should include commercial law
5. Ideally, but not necessarily, experience with a multinational company as in-house counsel

Overview of Responsibilities:

1. Proactively supporting legal operations for all business units or sub business units and/or professional functions of Henkel operations in SSA
2. Providing legal counselling and advice
3. Managing the preparation or review of contracts
4. Managing external disputes and litigation
5. Providing all other legal support

Territory: Based at Henkel office in S. Africa. Responsibilities for SSA, namely S. Africa, Kenya, and Nigeria.
