Legal Counsel

Our client is seeking their new Head Legal Counsel reporting directly to the CEO.

Requirements:

1. LLB degree
2. minimum 8 years post articles experience
3. experience in commercial law
4. drafting + vetting contracts
5. experience as in-house counsel / or experience in a corporate commercial team in a law firm

Duties:

1. contract drafting
2. risk management
3. compliance and regulatory management
4. manage litigation / engage with external counsel
5. compiles and prepares Legal and Compliance reports for Exco and relevant Board Committees
6. assist HR Department with Chairing Hearings and/or representing the Company at legal forums
7. takes shared responsibility and accountability for good governance practices
