Overview

Job title: Legal Counsel

Job Location: Western Cape, Cape Town

Deadline: September 27, 2025

We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our Middle East & Africa Legal Team, providing high-quality legal and strategic business support across multiple functions. This role is based in Cape Town and will work closely with the Region Counsel and colleagues across the region.

What You’ll Do
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements (NDAs, Master Service Agreements, subcontracts, lease agreements, manpower agreements, etc.).
  • Advise business units on commercial and legal risks, ensuring contracts align with company policies and approvals.
  • Support tender negotiations, contract variations, and claims management (including court claims if required).
  • Provide corporate legal support, including company secretarial matters.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Finance, HR, IT, Procurement, etc.) to drive compliance and business growth.
  • Attend key client / supplier meetings, offering proactive legal and strategic input.
What We’re Looking For
  • LL.B & LL.M Degrees; admitted Attorney / Advocate in South Africa.
  • 2–4 years PQE from a top-tier firm or multinational in-house legal team.
  • Strong experience in corporate / commercial contracts and risk management.
  • Familiarity with procurement and tender processes.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills – firm yet diplomatic.
  • Fluency in French and / or Portuguese is a plus (not required).
