Job description

Our client is searching for a Legal and Compliance Administrator to join their team in Pretoria - Hybrid remote working (2 – 3 days a week remote).

Job Purpose :

To provide administrative support regarding legal contracts with customers. The role involves drafting, filing documents and relevant materials, drafting reports and contracts, and communicating such data.

Role Responsibilities :

  1. Draft initial contracts and termination of service agreements for clients.
  2. Update the billing system.
  3. Draft correspondence for legal contracts to clients.
  4. Ensure that the contract register is updated, and necessary changes are made.
  5. Manage various administrative tasks such as opening new files, archiving records, and compiling checklists.
  6. Extend initial periods for contracts and ensure relevant updates occur.
  7. Manage reallocation of stop order facilities.
  8. Support operational departments to ensure regulatory compliance.
  9. Support accuracy of communications regarding regulatory matters.
  10. Refer queries or regulatory communications for response or assistance.
  11. Support due diligence requirements.
  12. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory matters.
  13. Liaise with external FAIS Compliance Officer.
  14. Assist with POPIA requirements.
  15. Maintain stakeholder information.
  16. Handle compliance administration, such as monthly reporting.
  17. Support the conclusion and maintenance of various agreements.

Preferred Requirements :

  • Diploma or Degree in a legal field and/or Regulatory Compliance certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with FICA, PAIA, TCF, POPIA, FAIS, and FSRA legislation.
  • 2 years’ experience working with FAIS.
  • Knowledge of POPIA legal requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
