Placements24 seeks a proactive Legal Advisor for its Kimberley-based property and commercial contracts practice in the Northern Cape. You will advise on conveyancing, leasing, development agreements, and related contractual matters across the portfolio.

The ideal candidate is admitted as an Attorney in SA with at least 5 years post-qualification experience in property and contract law, and strong negotiation and diligence skills to safeguard assets and ensure legal integrity in transactions.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of SA with ≥5 years post-qualification experience focusing on property law.
• Proven experience in property transactions, conveyancing, and drafting property-related agreements.
• Strong knowledge of SA property law incl. Deeds Registries Act and Sectional Titles Act.
• Solid understanding of contract law principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on property law, including conveyancing, leasing, sectional title schemes, and zoning regulations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate property-related agreements (sale, lease, development contracts).
• Oversee and manage legal aspects of property transactions from start to finish.
• Ensure compliance with relevant property legislation and regulations.
• Advise on contractual disputes related to property and construction.

Our client, a prominent real estate development and management company operating across Kimberley, Northern Cape , is seeking a proactive Legal Advisor with expertise in property law and commercial contracts. This role is essential for supporting the company's extensive property portfolio and transactional activities. You will be responsible for advising on property acquisitions, disposals, leasing, development agreements, and related contractual matters. The position is office-based in our Kimberley location, providing hands-on involvement in regional legal operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a deep understanding of South African property law and contract law. You will play a key role in safeguarding the company's assets and ensuring the legal integrity of its property dealings.

Key Responsibilities
