To consult with internal clients to understand business requirements and provide sound legal advice pertaining to the drafting, vetting, review, dissemination and / or negotiation of legal documentation and processes, providing clear legal direction based on sound judgment.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Legal Advisor to join our team at FNB. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to strategic procurement initiatives within a collaborative and innovative legal environment.

Are you someone who can :

  • Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts from inception to implementation.
  • Establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships to support integrated legal solutions.
  • Apply a customer-centric approach to internal client engagements.
  • Develop tactical strategies aligned with functional objectives in collaboration with leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and legal frameworks.
  • Provide proactive legal advice based on current legislation and industry best practices.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory changes and assess their impact on procurement operations.

You will be an ideal candidate if you :

  • LLB or LLM degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar legal environment, with at least 1–2 years at a junior specialist level.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, particularly in commercial and IT-related agreements (e.g., software, cloud, SaaS; PaaS etc.).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
