Job description

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
  • Contribute towards saving by limiting operational costs.
  • Comply with the National Treasure Cost Containment Measures (NTCM).
STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
  • Establish cooperative customer relationships with stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Represent the Head: Legal Services on various committees.
INTERNAL PROCESSES
COMMERCIAL & CONTRACTUAL SUPPORT
  • Formulation of operational business plan.
  • Formulation of legal policies, guidelines, frameworks, and business processes.
  • Review of Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Monitoring of turnaround times.
  • Legal contract drafting.
  • Conducting due diligence on projects.
  • Drafting legal opinions.
  • Risk management.
  • Quality assurance of work.
  • Ensuring compliance with legislation and policies.
  • Governance and compliance.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (e.g., LLB, BProc, BJur or related).
  • Admission as an Attorney or Advocate.
  • Seven (7) years’ post-admission experience.
  • In addition, two (2) years’ experience in a commercial or intellectual property environment and/or prior exposure to the technology innovation environment.
