Job Purpose
To provide proactive professional legal advice and legal risk management services to internal clients to mitigate the insurer's legal risk.
Assist Legal Head : Nedbank Insurance in the development and implementation of structures and processes for effective and efficient delivery of insurance-wide legal services, risk management, and compliance.
Job Responsibilities
- Build and sustain business relations to ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
- Manage and develop partnerships with external counsel/law firms to ensure high-quality legal services at reasonable costs.
- Support legal cost management within allocated budgets.
- Ensure stakeholder satisfaction by meeting turnaround times and addressing issues through legal risk advice.
- Align new product development policies with stakeholders and business processes.
- Manage stakeholder expectations by providing management information, risk analytics, and strategic insights.
- Advise governance, regulatory, procedural, and legal matters to boards and committees.

6-10 years post-articles experience within the Financial Services Industry, preferably Insurance.
