Drafting, reviewing, and vetting contracts related to property acquisitions, leases (including triple net and double net leases), sales, and development projects, JBCC Contracts, PROCSA contracts, and other suites of contracts relevant to the building/property industry.
Drafting and reviewing commercial property contracts including development agreements and agreements with service providers (e.g., Quantity Surveyor, Architect, Principal Agent, Construction companies).
Managing contract administration processes, including renewals, terminations, and amendments.
Handling all other drafting obligations such as Sale of Shares, Power of Attorneys, Addendums, Cession Agreements, Suretyships, Guarantees, Resolutions, etc., as directed.
Instigating and defending all litigation to protect the interests of the Group.
Managing the litigation process with external attorneys.
Overseeing and monitoring all debt collection processes of the Group.
Ensuring attendance at rent roll meetings and other internal collections processes.
Drafting Letters of Demand, Notices to Vacate, Acknowledgments of Debts, etc.
Negotiating with debtors regarding settlement of arrears.
Researching new developments in property law or legislation impacting property law as necessary.
Preparing opinions and summaries of salient facts requiring the interpretation of the law.
Qualifications:
LLB Degree or equivalent.
Admission as an Attorney or Advocate (pupillage served).
