SUMMARY: Facilitate the learning process in taxation by taking responsibility for course material and lectures.

POSITION INFO:

CORE PURPOSE OF JOB: To facilitate the learning process in taxation for undergraduate and postgraduate students, the majority of whom intend to qualify as Chartered Accountants (SA).

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

1. Facilitate the learning process in taxation by taking responsibility for course material, lectures, tutorials, and assessments for both day and evening groups of undergraduate and postgraduate students.
2. Engage with professional bodies and other stakeholders.
3. Perform related administrative duties.

CORE COMPETENCIES:

1. Sound knowledge of the theory and application of South African tax legislation, case law, recent trends, and developments, evidenced by a strong academic record in the subject area.
2. Experience in facilitating learning for undergraduate (lecturer) and/or postgraduate (senior lecturer) students aiming to qualify as Chartered Accountants (SA).
3. Experience in academic leadership and/or course coordination (senior lecturer).
