Job Summary:

This PART TIME Lecturer role offers an excellent opportunity to support and enhance the learning journeys of talented Red & Yellow students with modules in PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE & WORKPLACE LEARNING. As a lecturer, you will take full responsibility for the academic performance and functioning of your programme. You will work closely with the Heads of Department and the lecturing team to maintain, develop, and grow Red & Yellow’s respected programme offerings. The ideal candidate would have a background in both academia and industry. This position requires your physical presence on campus.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Lecturing modules for Professional Practice and Workplace Learning components
• Proven experience within the entrepreneurial space
• Networking with industry or academic professionals to offer students practical exposure
• Experience in employability or student placement for internships
• Designing, developing, and delivering engaging high-quality lectures and supporting activities
• Ongoing professional development in your subject area
• Developing curriculum aligned with Red & Yellow’s teaching style, including lesson planning, assessments, and exams
• Assessing new student applications
• Lecturing and conducting tutorials for full-time programmes
• Monitoring and evaluating academic programmes, maintaining student records
• Collaborating with colleagues and industry contacts for programme relevance
• Participating in programme content updates and moderation processes
• Participating in examination and certification processes
• Attending staff meetings and faculty events
• Maintaining documentation and tracking at-risk students
• Ensuring administrative tasks are current and deadlines met
• Participating in student grievance and disciplinary sessions
• Lecturing according to programme outcomes and accreditation standards
• Benchmarking against other higher education institutions
• Adhering to policies ensuring programme quality and integrity
• Attending marketing activities such as open days

Qualifications and Experience:

• Honours Degree in Marketing or Entrepreneurship
• MBA or Master’s in Management or Entrepreneurship (advantageous)
• 3-5 years tertiary teaching experience
• 5-7 years industry experience in the relevant field
• Continuous professional development evidence
• History of publications (academic or otherwise)
• Network of industry or academic professionals for student exposure
• Ability to design and deliver engaging lectures and activities
• Commitment to teaching excellence and student experience
• Technologically savvy
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Passion for student engagement
• Proficiency in Google Workspace, Zoom, Microsoft 360, Moodle, SIS
