The IIE's Vega Johannesburg Campus has a vacancy for a Lecturer: Interior Design.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Lecturing
   • Deliver lectures on Management-specific programmes (must be within an IIE qualification) across various delivery modes where relevant.
   • Mark assessments and provide feedback to students. May also be required to moderate assessment scripts within their subject fields across IIE sites.
2. Lecturer Development and Support
   • Assist in lecturer development processes, including peer reviews, workshops, and consultations.
3. Student Development & Support
   • Lead academic development and support for a specific programme and its students.
   • Monitor student success and implement support interventions as needed.
4. Research & Scholarship
   • Promote a culture of scholarship within their discipline and contribute to the institution's research output targets.

Competencies Required:

• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Proactive work management and self-motivation.
• Effective teaching experience with reflective practice.
• Ability to manage relationships with staff and managers effectively.
• Passion for Customer Service.
• Experience with technology-enhanced learning is an advantage.

Minimum Education Requirements:

• Honours (NQF Level 8) in Interior Design.
• A Master’s degree is advantageous.

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

• At least 5 years of teaching and learning experience, preferably in an educational environment.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 17:00
