Lecturer (Independent Contractor) Diploma in Sport Management

Main Purpose of the Role
Lecturing one or more subjects at a range of levels in a range of qualifications/learning programmes in a specific subject area or areas. The lecturer must be able to design and deliver lectures, lead discussions, and conduct practical sessions to help students grasp concepts. The role includes assessment, marking and student evaluation and support.
The Lecturer is required to lecture in the following disciplines:

Sport Management

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lecturing in person and online
2. Assessment development
3. Learning material development
4. Marking
5. Student support
6. Administration
7. Participation in programme and qualification reviews

Qualifications
The successful candidate must hold a qualification at least one level higher than the qualification on which they are required to lecture – preferably at least an Honours degree.

Skills and Competencies
Prior lecturing experience in person or online would be an advantage.
Strong English Language Skills (Written and Verbal).
Computer Literacy.

Required Preferred

• Qualification: Degree, or if the person is to teach on a degree, an Honours degree Postgraduate qualification
• Experience: Prior lecturing experience 2 years
• Strong English Language Skills (Written and Verbal)
• Computer Literacy
• Ongoing studies in the discipline and/or a research record
