Job summary

Brentwood seeks an on-campus lecturer to teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate classes, ensuring high-quality standards and alignment with the unit's priorities. The role includes contributing to course development, developing materials, and delivering hands-on lab sessions on campus.

You will consult with and support on-campus students, participate in faculty meetings, and assist with accreditation and audits.

Responsibilities

• Fulfil the teaching requirements of the course to the highest standard possible and in accordance with the academic duties defined in this position description.
• Contribute to course and/or unit development and/or review.
• Assist in the development of course material.
• Assist in the development and delivery of practical hands-on laboratory and workshop sessions on campus.
• Review and edit course teaching materials and liaise with other teaching staff on the effective use of these materials and activities.
• Where the On Campus Lecturer is appointed as a Unit Coordinator they are to fulfill all aspects of that role.
• Consult with and support on-campus students for the unit/s being taught.
• Participate in Course Advisory Committees, Board of Studies and other faculty meetings as applicable;
• Participate in personal development activities in teaching and learning
• Participate and assist with accreditation and audit related matters
• Point of contact for prospective students, current students, course advisors, lecturers and supervisors (for Bachelor and Master courses) and following up on matters of concern
• Support and supervise on-campus and online courses
• Provide support for other positions during absences
