Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ relevant experience in Higher Education, including teaching academic literacy.
• Experience in student support and development.
• Ability to teach in English, isiXhosa and/or Afrikaans.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic literacy support and development to students. Offer workshops and teach academic literacy to students.
• Develop academic literacy materials and sources for use by students and staff.
• Assist academic staff to integrate academic literacy into their subjects and programmes. Conduct research and publish on academic literacy.
• Perform appropriate academic and administrative duties in the department and develop links with industry.
