Job summary

Qualifications

• A minimum of an NQF 8 with specialisation in marketing and digital marketing.
• Experience lecturing in blended contact learning and online environments with LMS and video conferencing.
• Relevant industry experience in business, ideally with an industry board designation.

Responsibilities

• Teach marketing and digital marketing within the School of Commerce.
• Conduct assessments, marking and moderation with QA standards.
• Support student learning and curriculum development.
• Engage in research and accredited publications.
• Participate in industry liaison, community engagement and committees.
• Provide academic leadership and mentoring.

STADIO higher education is inviting applications for the position of: Lecturer – Marketing and Digital Marketing

Purpose

The lecturer is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, assessment and student support in the School of Commerce at the Centurion Campus, with a focus on marketing and digital marketing modules. The lecturer will facilitate student learning and success, contribute to the quality and relevance of the curriculum, and engage in research and accredited publication. The role also includes active academic citizenship through industry liaison, community engagement and institutional involvement.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and learning:

• Lecture relevant subjects in commerce, with a focus on marketing and digital marketing
• Conduct assessments, including marking and moderation
• Uphold quality assurance standards in teaching and assessment
• Provide academic support to promote student success
• Contribute to curriculum development, review and transformation

Research:

• Produce accredited research publications
• Contribute to thought leadership in the field
• Conduct research for teaching and learning in marketing, digital marketing and consumer behaviour

Qualifications and experience

• A minimum of an NQF 8 with a specialisation in marketing and digital marketing.
• Experience with lecturing in a blended contact learning and online environment, using electronic learning management systems as well as video conferencing, such as Microsoft teams.
• Relevant industry experience in business, ideally a member of an industry board with a relevant designation
