Position Overview :

Seeking an Independent Contractor - Lecturer to enhance teaching and learning in the School of Computer Science for the Bachelor of Computer and Information Sciences in Application Development (BCAD) program, for the upcoming academic year.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Preparation and delivery of lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars.
2. Providing study guidance, learning support, consultations, and mentoring to students.
3. Development of module materials, including online and web-based resources.
4. Marking and grading assessments.
5. Module coordination and quality assurance.
6. Administrative duties related to the discipline and modules.
7. Participation in committees, workshops, and relevant activities.
8. Additional duties as required.

Job Requirements :

• Demonstrated ability to lecture and conduct tutorials at a tertiary level in core courses at the highest academic standards.
• Experience with e-learning platforms such as Blackboard and Moodle.
• Up-to-date knowledge of curriculum areas at an advanced academic level.
• Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
• Honors degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent in the specified discipline.

Minimum Work Experience :

At least 3 years of lecturing experience in a similar higher education role or relevant industry experience.

Working Conditions :

This is an Independent Contractor role. Positions are part-time, with lectures scheduled between 08:00 and 18:00. Applicants should be available to lecture 2-3 days per week during business hours for the semester's duration.
