Job description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Leasing Lead to manage our store lease portfolio across South Africa and the UK. This role will be responsible for lease negotiations, renewals, administration, and day-to-day leasing operations — ensuring optimal property management and rental terms across all Browns locations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the full lease lifecycle across all Browns retail locations (SA & UK)
  • Assist the Executive team with lease negotiations, renewals, and contract structuring with landlords and centre management
  • Review, draft, and finalise lease agreements in line with Browns’ commercial and legal standards
  • Monitor critical lease dates, renewal options, escalations, and obligations to ensure timely actions.
  • Handle all lease-related queries, disputes, and amendments
  • Coordinate with legal, finance, and store operations to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Maintain a centralised lease database and document control system
  • Advise on space optimisation and new lease opportunities in support of expansion or repositioning
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all landlord communications and requests.
  • Support the development of the retail leasing strategy aligned with business strategy.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting on rental commitments
