Job description

Purple Land Management (PLM) is seeking Lease Negotiators in Sulphur Springs, TX to report to and work directly with the project management team.

The individual will be responsible for conducting contact efforts and lease negotiations with landowners to acquire leases and prepare for renewable energy projects in the area.

Applicants local to the project area will be strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
  1. Work independently to establish contact with multiple landowners across multiple counties/states.
  2. Establish positive rapport with landowners to facilitate successful negotiations.
  3. Travel and meet with landowners as needed to negotiate and secure lease agreements, including visiting properties.
  4. Negotiate surface/sub-surface leases on behalf of clients.
  5. Educate landowners on project scope, lease terms, conditions, timing, procedures, and financial arrangements.
  6. Provide daily updates to an internal database for review by Project Managers and clients.
  7. Provide progress reports on negotiations and contact efforts.
  8. Prepare Lease Purchase Reports with executed lease agreements and related documents.
  9. Conduct supplemental title research to confirm landowner interests.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of three years of experience in lease negotiations, outside sales, or property sale agreements.
  • Experience in oil and gas, energy, or renewable energy negotiations preferred.
  • Active AAPL membership.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
  • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Significant travel may be required.
