Role Purpose
Metropolitan seeks a mature, experienced, and creative Learning Designer. The ideal candidate will have expertise in multiple design methodologies, strong business acumen, and meticulous attention to detail. The role involves designing engaging, experiential, high-quality learning content aligned with business needs. This includes producing multimedia and digital learning, instructor-led training, and virtual facilitation materials.

Requirements

  • Relevant B degree or qualification related to HR or L&D
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in designing corporate learning content, including induction, service skills, soft skills, and systems training
  • Proven track record in traditional and digital learning design, with a portfolio of work to showcase
  • Experience with creative, AI, or eLearning software is advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of adult education, training, and development content design
  • Familiarity with agile project management principles
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently, and prioritize multiple deliverables
  • Quick problem analysis and risk management skills
  • Capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines across various projects
  • Proficient in English, with excellent writing, grammatical, and analytical skills
  • Proficient in MS Word and PowerPoint

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Engage with stakeholders to analyze learning needs
  • Collaborate effectively with senior management and internal clients
  • Design and develop engaging curricula for various delivery modes, including virtual, eLearning, and bite-sized formats
  • Create facilitator guides, learning tools, presentations, and artefacts to achieve learning outcomes
  • Use creative and design thinking to explore innovative solutions
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to conduct needs analysis and develop high-quality learning materials swiftly
  • Develop assessment tools aligned with Kirkpatrick's methodology to evaluate learner performance
  • Adopt an agile, iterative approach to design, ensuring continuous stakeholder sign-off and improvements
  • Manage project timelines to meet deadlines
  • Design post-learning reinforcement mechanisms
  • Maintain high standards of quality in all learning materials
  • Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions to ensure effective delivery
  • Collaborate with Learning Delivery to maximize ROI
