We are looking for a Learning Specialist to drive the full learning lifecycle from needs analysis to the design of blended learning solutions all aligned to the business strategy. This role will be critical in building internal capabilities, maintaining governance standards, and leveraging technology to support a learning culture.

What you will love doing in this role

Learning Strategy and Execution

  • Lead the design and execution of learning strategies for corporate, retail and contact centre environments.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify capability gaps and learning needs.
  • Translate business priorities into clear L&D deliverables.

Team Leadership

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to the L&D Facilitators.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of training across channels and business units.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the L&D team.

Content Development and Instructional Design

  • Design and develop engaging learning content, including eLearning modules, facilitator guides, assessments, videos, and blended learning materials.
  • Ensure content is aligned with adult learning principles, and is scalable, interactive, and accessible.
  • Stay abreast of learning trends, digital tools, and methodologies to enhance content quality.

Training Delivery Oversight

  • Oversee the planning and coordination of training sessions, learning journeys, onboarding programmes, and soft skill development.
  • Engage with our training partners to deliver formal training QCTO training programmes.
  • Conduct learning needs analyses and impact evaluations to refine future learning initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with Retail Operations, Contact Centre, and HRBPs to ensure learning interventions are relevant and timely.
  • Serve as the L&D representative in cross-functional projects and business initiatives.

Reporting and Evaluation

  • Track, report, and analyse training metrics and learning impact.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to communicate progress to HR and business leaders.

What you’ll need to do this role

  • Bachelor's Degree (3 years) / NQF level 7
  • OD-ETDP qualification with a core focus on Instructional Design principles
  • Experience using content development tools, AI LLM, Video creation tools and LMS, preferably Moodle.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a Learning & Development environment
  • At least 5 years’ experience in an HR environment
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel nationally
  • Strong Project Management capabilities
