Are you passionate about youth development and empowering individuals through skills training? Our client is looking for a dynamic Learner Recruitment Manager to join our clients team in Johannesburg.

About the Role:
As the Learner Recruitment Manager, you will lead the recruitment and placement of learners for our various training programmes. Your role will involve managing the full recruitment lifecycle, building strategic partnerships, and ensuring alignment with industry and legislative requirements – with a strong focus on recruiting both able-bodied and differently abled individuals.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement learner recruitment strategies for learnerships, internships, and skills programmes.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process: advertising, screening, interviews, and document collection.
  • Partner with host employers to match learners with suitable opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong networks with schools, universities, and community organisations.
  • Ensure full compliance with B-BBEE, Skills Development, and SETA regulations.
  • Maintain a learner database and report on recruitment activities and outcomes.
  • Plan and participate in outreach events such as career fairs and information sessions.
  • Monitor campaign effectiveness and improve processes using data-driven insights.
  • Ensure consistent and professional learner communication throughout the recruitment journey.

What We’re Looking For:
Inherent Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Education, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in recruitment, youth development, or programme management.
  • Solid knowledge of learnerships, internships, and South African skills development legislation.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and applicant tracking systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Preferred Experience:

  • Recruitment within the training or education industry.
  • Learnership recruitment experience.
  • Exposure to recruiting candidates with disabilities.
