Purpose of Position:

To sort, distribute, receive, and process samples, operate the automate, resolve queries, and perform administrative tasks as required.

Requirements:
  • Grade 12 (Required)
  • HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field
Relevant Experience:
  • 1-2 years relevant laboratory experience
  • 2-3 years general experience in a medical environment
Knowledge:
  • Google and Google Mail
  • HPCSA regulations
  • Human Tissue Act
  • Medical Terminology
  • Meditech system
  • MS Word and MS Excel
  • Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA)
  • Ampath Safety, Health and Environment management policy
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath.
  • Perform Automate functions to ensure optimal functioning of the Automates at all times.
  • Perform general laboratory tasks to ensure safety and accreditation standards are maintained.
  • Process specimens to ensure timely and accurate results delivery.
