Job summary

The Recruitment Pig in Gauteng is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily floor operations at a new facility. You will manage the warehouse team and coordinate with logistics to ensure fast stock dispatches.

Essential experience includes supervising staff in a busy distribution warehouse, familiarity with inventory systems, and a strong focus on health and safety. Leadership and teamwork are vital for success.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising staff in a busy distribution warehouse.
• Hands-on with technical hardware and industrial tools.
• Able to use computer-based inventory systems and ERP/WMS.
• Knowledge of stocktaking, cycle counts, and binning.
• Strong communication and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise warehouse floor teams, stock pickers, packers, and forklift operators every day.
• Manage the receiving, safety checks, and binning of incoming tools, machinery, and consumables.
• Oversee accurate order picking and packing for direct branch transfers and customer dispatches.
• Conduct routine inventory cycle counts and regular stock audits to prevent stock discrepancies.
• Enforce stock rotation rules and ensure high-value technical equipment is stored safely.
• Keep staging areas organized for smooth handover to the logistics and transport team.
• Maintain a tidy warehouse floor and enforce daily health and safety procedures.
