Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Lead Toddler Caregiver to oversee a dynamic toddler program in Cape Town. You will lead a small team, ensure safe daily experiences for children 18-36 months, and focus on foundational development and well-being.

You will supervise staff, plan engaging activities, maintain safety standards, and communicate with parents on progress. A relevant ECD qualification is highly desirable for this role in the Western Cape.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in toddler care or early childhood education.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in supervising staff.
• Proficiency in planning engaging toddler-specific activities and routines.
• Strong understanding of child safety protocols and health standards for young children.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate daily routines and activities for toddlers, focusing on sensory exploration, language development, and social interaction.
• Supervise and guide a team of caregivers, providing training, support, and performance feedback.
• Ensure a safe, hygienic, and stimulating environment, managing supplies and overseeing classroom setup.
• Conduct regular observations of children's development and maintain accurate records for each child.
