This senior role will drive the design and implementation of environmentally conscious projects, championing sustainable materials, energy efficiency, and innovative ecological design strategies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Architecture with a focus on Sustainable Design.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Lead Sustainable Architect to spearhead the integration of green building principles into all aspects of their architectural practice, operating remotely. This senior role will drive the design and implementation of environmentally conscious projects, championing sustainable materials, energy efficiency, and innovative ecological design strategies. You will lead a remote team of designers and consultants, influencing project direction from conception through to completion, and setting new benchmarks for sustainability in the built environment. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive sustainable design strategies for all architectural projects.
• Lead the design team in integrating passive design principles, renewable energia systems, and water conservation techniques.
• Conduct life cycle assessments (LCAs) and environmental impact studies for proposed designs.
• Stay abreast of emerging green building technologies, materials, and certifications (e.g., LEED, BREEAM).
• Mentor and guide architectural staff on best practices in sustainable design and environmental stewardship.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Architecture with a specialization in Sustainable Design or Environmental Architecture.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural practice, with at least 5 years focused on sustainable design leadership.
• Proven expertise in green building certifications (LEED AP, Green Star Accredited Professional, or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of energy modeling software, sustainable materials, and ecological design principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills, adept at remote collaboration.
