Responsibilities :

• Interact with business analysts and end users to establish information needs.
• Conduct data analysis and data profiling on various source systems.
• Design and document logical and physical data models using dimension modelling techniques.
• Review data models with functional and technical teams.
• Interact with software developers, business analysts, quality management, and end users to communicate BI designs and solutions. Establish, maintain, and ensure compliance with data modelling and data integration standards.
• Lead the creation, enhancement, and implementation of new BI standards and processes.
• Gather data, research, and analyze to develop insights and generate solutions to address user needs. Conceptualize and design solutions.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Maintain excellent oral and written communication skills.

Technical Skills :

• The BI Solutions Architect should have expertise in technologies needed to implement BI solutions, including experience with the Microsoft BI stack and Oracle.
• Experience in gathering requirements for reporting solutions and data analytics.
• Proficiency in writing functional and technical specifications, process flows, and source-to-target mappings. Experience with BI front-end tools like Power BI and Excel.
• Strong SQL query writing skills across database environments.
• Experience in logical and physical data modelling using techniques such as Kimball.
• Solid understanding of database fundamentals, normalization, and denormalization.
• Experience in ETL design and understanding of ETL architectures.
• Knowledge of ODS, data warehouse, data mart, cube, and database technologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and navigating ambiguity skills.
• Understanding of Master Data Management (MDM), Metadata Management, and Data Governance (DG). Skills in Microsoft data technologies like SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS.

Other Duties Include

• Establish domain-specific standards, strategies, and roadmaps.
• Assist in creating the vision for future state technologies and architecture.
• Participate in R&D efforts, proofs of concept, and prototypes when introducing new technologies.
• Provide technical expertise for effort estimates, resource planning, and work breakdown structures.
• Participate in SDLC phases, perform QA and architectural reviews, and ensure adherence to standards.
