E&D Recruiters is searching for a Lead Software Development Architect for a Soweto-based client in Gauteng. This hybrid role blends architectural leadership with hands-on delivery, shaping software architecture and driving best practices.
You will mentor developers, set standards, collaborate with product teams, and evaluate new technologies to ensure scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in software development with at least 4 in lead/architecture roles.
- Proficient in Python, Java, and C#, with microservices and event-driven design.
- Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP and Docker/Kubernetes.
- Strong leadership, communication and mentoring capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Define and oversee software architecture for new and existing products.
- Establish coding standards, design patterns, and development best practices.
- Lead and mentor a team of software developers and provide guidance.
- Collaborate with product managers to define requirements and specs.
- Evaluate technologies and ensure scalability, performance, security.
- Conduct code and architectural reviews and drive improvements.
