Lead / Senior Traffic Engineer

About the Role

Are you a forward-thinking engineer with a passion for transportation and traffic engineering? We are looking for a dynamic and skilled individual to join our team as a Lead Traffic Engineer or Senior Traffic Engineer, depending on your experience and expertise. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects, drive innovation, and lead a team in delivering world-class traffic and transport engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead traffic and transport planning projects from inception to close-out.
• Develop traffic studies, transportation impact assessments (TIAs), and transport planning for diverse developments, including mining and mixed-use projects.
• Prepare quotations, tenders, and technical reports, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Supervise and mentor technical staff, ensuring quality management and project success.
• Manage project financials and liaise regularly with stakeholders and clients.
• Conduct site inspections, provide contract administration, and oversee project execution.
• Participate in industry development through technical papers, presentations, and association involvement.

Skills and Experience Required

• Qualification: BSc Eng (Civil) with Pr Eng registration.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and Civil3D (SIDRA experience advantageous).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Lead Traffic Engineer (Additional Requirements)

• MEng in Transportation Engineering (advantageous).
• 12 years of experience, including > 10 years in Traffic Engineering.
• Expertise in public transport and rail planning is highly desirable.
• Proven leadership abilities and experience managing large, complex projects.

Senior Traffic Engineer (Additional Requirements)

• 7 years of experience, including > 5 years in Traffic Engineering.
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to lead smaller-scale projects independently.
