Technical knowledge

1. Understanding and implementation of the SDLC and design patterns
2. Experienced in functional programming and Object Orientated Programming
3. Backend NodeJS development experience and exposure
4. Unit testing, integration testing, and functional testing
5. Competent in version control systems including advanced topics (Cherry Picking, Rebasing Workspaces and Bisecting)
6. Understanding of Solution Architecture
7. Agile Software Methodologies
8. Web Sockets – Socket.io / SignalR

12. Containerisation (Docker)
13. Knowledge of web security (OWASP etc)

Responsibilities

1. Developing production-ready web applications, functional prototypes and interactive demos for a variety of web-based and mobile-based projects
2. Consuming API’s created by back-end developers
3. Providing website maintenance and enhancements
4. Assisting back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting
5. Performing development testing, debugging and enhancements on new and existing code bases
6. Maintaining digital standards and branding throughout the product’s interface
7. Staying up-to-date on emerging Front-End technologies
8. Promote reusable code and libraries
9. Validate the technical feasibility of UI / UX designs
10. Optimise application performance and scalability
11. Follow input validation practices.
12. Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
13. Look after the technical well-being of the team

Minimum experience required

1. 6+ years’ experience in Front-end software development
2. A tertiary qualification would be beneficial
3. Experience in the banking, insurance or telecoms industry would be highly beneficial
4. Experience in SDLC methodologies such as AGILE (SCRUM)
