Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Security Architect to drive our security strategy in a fully remote capacity, with an operational base ideally connecting to Mahikeng. This senior role designs and implements secure IT architectures, guiding technology teams to embed security across the lifecycle.

The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree and 10+ years in IT security, with deep cloud security experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP, plus strong leadership and strategic planning abilities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in IT security, with a significant focus on security architecture.
• Proven experience designing and implementing security solutions for complex enterprise environments, including cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• In-depth knowledge of security principles, threat modeling, and risk management frameworks.
• Experience with network security, identity and access management, data security, and application security.
• Strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
