Job Summary

The Scrum Master will facilitate a product development team that uses Scrum/Agile methodologies. The role involves leading a team to ensure self-organization and adaptability, ensuring adherence to agile principles, and effective management of the product backlog, sprint backlog, and burn-down charts.

Job Description

  1. Delivery
  • Lead multiple sprints using Agile methodology.
  • Maintain and update Scrum artifacts.
  • Ensure smooth sprint execution and address issues promptly.
  • Communicate progress and blockers to project/delivery managers.
  • Ensure compliance with change governance and standards.
  • Maintain code quality standards.
  • Develop plans to ensure timely delivery of team’s work.
  • Transition to Agile
    • Assess current development/delivery models and guide teams in adopting Agile strategies.
    • Implement best practices and resolve adoption challenges.
    • Support planning and transition of releases.
    • Provide guidance to colleagues for successful Agile adoption.
  • Leading and Managing Teams
    • Supervise and coordinate teams across different locations.
    • Utilize resources effectively to meet business objectives.
    • Engage with business areas and serve as a point of contact.
    • Coach team members in Agile practices.
  • Delivery Capability
    • Maintain effective communication in challenging situations.
    • Support team members and product owners in Agile adoption.
    • Manage multiple sprints and support workflow analysis tools.
  • Application Management
    • Understand incident & problem management disciplines.
    • Maintain configuration items, manage changes, and plan releases.
    • Support operational knowledge of service desk systems.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Facilitate negotiations and communicate complex ideas effectively.
    • Adapt communication styles to diverse audiences.

    Education

    National Certificate in Information Technology.
