Placements24 is seeking a Lead Sanitation Technician in George, Western Cape to oversee and advance industrial sanitation programs. The role requires managing a team, maintaining high cleanliness standards, and ensuring strict health and safety compliance across facilities.

You will lead program development, conduct risk assessments, and coordinate with production and maintenance to minimize disruptions while driving continuous process improvements in sanitation and hygiene practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in industrial sanitation, with 2+ years in supervision.
• Deep knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment for manufacturing plants.
• Strong understanding of HACCP, GMP, and related safety standards.
• Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Experience with risk assessments and corrective actions.
• Strong written and verbal communication; clear reporting.
• Familiarity with South Africa EH&S legislation.
• Willingness to work shifts and weekends as needed.
• Commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and safety standards.
