Placements24 is seeking a proactive Sanitation Team Lead to guide a sanitation crew at our facility in Nelspruit. You will oversee daily cleaning operations, ensure hygiene standards, and train team members to work safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has leadership experience in sanitation, knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment, and the ability to motivate the team while managing safety protocols and inventory.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in sanitation or cleaning
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate and manage a team
• Understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and supervise a team of sanitation workers, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Ensure all areas are cleaned and sanitized according to established procedures and schedules.
• Conduct regular inspections of work areas to ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ordering replacements as needed and ensuring proper storage.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols for chemical handling, equipment operation, and general work practices.
