Placements24 is seeking a Senior Product Developer - Cosmetics to join their remote R&D team. This role requires a senior, creative expert to concept, develop, and launch groundbreaking cosmetics while upholding quality, safety, and sustainability standards.

You will drive product innovation in a decentralized, remote-first environment. You will lead formulation efforts, manage cross-functional collaboration, ensure regulatory compliance, and stay ahead of market trends to expand the product

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in a relevant science field.
• 8+ years of cosmetic product development experience with launch track record.
• Deep knowledge of cosmetic ingredients, formulation techniques, and testing methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of new cosmetic products from ideation to market launch.
• Formulate and test cosmetics meeting quality, safety, and performance standards.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, ingredients, and consumer needs.
• Collaborate with R&D, marketing, regulatory, and manufacturing teams.
• Source and evaluate raw materials and packaging components.
• Develop and maintain product development documentation, specs, and stability reports.
• Oversee pilot batches and scale-up processes for consistency.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Provide technical support to marketing and sales teams.
• Stay current with cosmetic science advancements and sustainable practices.
