Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in public relations, preferably for consumer brands.
• Proven ability to develop and execute strategic PR campaigns and secure media coverage.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with persuasive storytelling.

• Develop and implement strategic public relations plans to enhance brand awareness, reputation, and media coverage.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media contacts, journalists, bloggers, and influencers across national and local platforms.
• Craft press releases, media advisories, feature articles, and other PR materials.
• Proactively pitch stories and secure media placements in relevant publications and broadcast outlets.
• Manage media inquiries, interviews, and press conferences, serving as a spokesperson or preparing spokespeople.
• Monitor media coverage and industry trends, analyze sentiment and report on PR campaign effectiveness.
• Develop and execute crisis communication plans to mitigate reputational risks.
• Collaborate with marketing, social media, and internal communications teams for integrated campaigns.
• Organize and manage press events, product launches, and media tours.
• Oversee PR budget and manage external PR agencies or consultants as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.


• A minimum of 7 years of experience in public relations, preferably within a corporate or agency setting serving consumer brands.


• Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic PR campaigns and securing media coverage.


• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for crafting persuasive narratives.


• Strong understanding of the South African media landscape and established media relationships.


• Proficiency in media monitoring and analysis tools.


• Experience in crisis communication management is essential.


• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.


• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.


• Experience in event management and media event coordination.


• Reside in or be willing to relocate to Cape Town, Western Cape, ZA for this on-site position.
