Lead Project Manager

The vacancy: IHC SA is currently seeking to secure the services of a Project Manager in our Cape Town office. The Project Manager’s primary responsibility is to manage the phases, activities, and tasks associated with projects allocated to him/her.

Qualifications and competencies:

To be eligible for this role, you must have/be/be able to:

• B. Tech / B. Sc / B. Eng degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering;
• Project Management qualification;
• Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with ECSA;
• Knowledge base and experience within the Mining, Oil and Gas, Mineral Processing or Heavy Engineering sectors;
• 10 - 12 years of relevant project management experience;
• Proven verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills;
• Good organisational skills;
• Ability to perform under pressure;
• High attention to detail;
• Managerial leadership ability;
• Cross-functional leadership;
• Willingness to work demanding schedules and flexible hours, including after hours, in order to meet required schedules;
• Willingness to travel;
• Operate as part of a team;
• Disciplined – able to work with limited supervision;
• Self-motivated, organized and results driven;
• Computer literacy (Word, Excel, MS Project);
• Own transportation.
