Job summary

Tiger Brands is seeking an experienced Product Developer to lead the development of pioneering cosmetic products. You will manage supplier, manufacturing interfaces and cross-functional collaboration, prioritising projects to completion under tight timelines.

Responsibilities include creating compliant formulations, driving sustainability, and delivering robust prototypes while collaborating with R&D and Category Brand teams.

Qualifications

• ND/BSc/BTech in Biochemistry or Chemistry and Cosmetic Formulation Science.
• Minimum 5+ years in product development within FMCG.
• High level of computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and source new raw materials aligned with product concepts and regulatory requirements.
• Co-create product concepts with Category Brand teams and provide key info for consumer research.
• Develop formulations and prototypes based on concepts with regulatory considerations in mind.
• Apply sustainable design practices in new product development.
• Drive ingredient harmonisation and enhance existing formulations to meet evolving consumer expectations.
• Assess plant requirements and assist with capex needs for development.
