Placements24 is seeking a Lead Preschool Teacher with a curriculum focus to guide a 4-5 year old classroom in Paarl, Western Cape, ZA. You will develop and implement a creative, child-centered curriculum and assess progress while communicating with families.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, 4+ years of preschool teaching experience, strong classroom management, and a passion for early childhood development.

About the Role

About the Role A progressive preschool in the scenic town of Paarl, Western Cape, ZA is looking for a dedicated and innovative Lead Preschool Teacher - Curriculum Focused . This position involves guiding a preschool classroom (ages 4-5) with a strong emphasis on developing and implementing a creative, child-centered curriculum that prepares children for formal schooling. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for early childhood education, a strong understanding of pedagogical best practices, and the ability to foster a stimulating and nurturing learning environment. As the Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for classroom management, curriculum delivery, ongoing assessment of children's progress, and effective communication with parents. You will play a key role in shaping the educational journey of young learners in Paarl , contributing to their intellectual, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver an engaging and age-appropriate preschool curriculum for children aged 4-5.
• Create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
• Observe, assess, and document children's learning and development, providing regular feedback to parents.
• Manage classroom dynamics, behavior, and routines effectively.
• Plan and execute a variety of learning activities, including group lessons, individual support, and play-based explorations.
• Foster positive social skills, emotional regulation, and self-confidence among students.
• Maintain open and effective communication channels with parents regarding their child's progress and well-being.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff members to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
• Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and hygiene standards within the classroom.
• Prepare children for the transition to primary school through structured learning activities.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor\'s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience teaching preschool-aged children.
