Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with trade certification (NQF Level 3 or equivalent).
• Experience as Industrial Electrician in manufacturing or plant environment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Experience with VFDs, PLCs and MCCs; proficient in electrical testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and equipment, including motors, control panels, lighting, and power distribution systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and diagnose issues using appropriate testing devices and procedures.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations, codes, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and production staff to ensure efficient operations.
• Respond to electrical emergencies and perform necessary repairs promptly.
• Participate in safety training and contribute to a culture of safety excellence.
• Work with voltages ranging from low to high, including 3‑phase systems.
