• Have managed Safety in the Construction of wind farms to meet commercial operations

Education Requirements

• Local or internationally recognised HSE qualification (OSHA, NEBOSCH, IOSH, Industrial Safety diploma)
• SACPCMP registered

Experience Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in an HSE role in the renewable energy industry
• Embedded knowledge of internal and external auditing processes

Responsibilities

• Understand the project's HSE plan requirements to ensure effective implementation on the project site.
• Organize and deliver HSE / B2B training sessions effectively to enhance and maintain high levels of HSE awareness.
• Facilitate the preparation, review, and modification of risk assessments as necessary.
• Maintain records of on-site and off-site accidents related to project employees and vehicles and assist in preparing initial reports.
• Ensure the safe transportation, storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals on site.
• Ensure emergency response preparedness provisions and plans are in place and known to all site employees.
• Perform Level 1 HSE inspections and ensure senior management conducts Level 2 and Level 3 inspections.
• Ensure compliance with the permit-to-work system.
• Verify that work platforms are safe and meet site requirements for working at height.
• Prepare and submit necessary reports to the Project HSE Manager and other relevant parties.
• Participate in audits and ensure corrective actions are followed up and closed out.
• Consult with project management regularly to ensure a positive, safe, and healthy work atmosphere.
