Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Lead Nanny and Early Childhood Educator to join a prominent family in Midrand, Gauteng. The role is primarily based at the family home with occasional local outings, offering a hybrid work arrangement and the chance to influence early childhood development in a nurturing environment.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in childcare with supervisory experience, an ECD qualification (preferred), and strong communication, organization, and first aid

Formación

• Minimum of 5 years of professional childcare experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Qualified in Early Childhood Development (ECD) or related field is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of child development stages and age-appropriate pedagogy.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• First aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain immediately).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a household team.
• Background check and strong references required.
• Familiarity with Midrand, Gauteng is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities, including learning games, arts and crafts, and outdoor play.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children, adhering to dietary requirements.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment at all times.
• Supervise daily routines, including dressing, bathing, and bedtime.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to foster positive social skills and self-esteem.
• Coordinate and schedule appointments, activities and playdates.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress, concerns, and behavior.
• Assist with light household duties directly related to children’s care.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and emergency procedures.
