Lead MuleSoft Architect - JHB - R14m PA

We are looking for an experienced Lead MuleSoft Architect to join our dynamic IT team. In this role you will lead the design implementation and maintenance of our integration solutions across the enterprise.

You will be responsible for building API-led connectivity and ensuring seamless integration between systems applications and data sources using MuleSoft's Anypoint Platform. As a strategic leader you will collaborate with business leaders and technical teams to deliver high-quality secure and scalable integration solutions that meet the company's growing digital and business needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5 years of experience in mobile app development (iOS and Android)
• Extensive experience in designing implementing and supporting enterprise-grade technical solutions.
• Familiarity with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform or OpenAPI Specification (OAS) and related technologies.
• Strong development experience with on-premises and SaaS applications using JEE and JSE frameworks.
• Expertise in integration architecture and technologies such as XML, JMS, WS
• SOA integration and API management.
• Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks like TOGAF.
• Familiarity with Open Source architectures and contributions to open-source projects.
• Experience with designing and operating highly available scalable and fault-tolerant systems.
• Proficiency in designing public and private enterprise secure services using RAML and REST.
• Familiarity with the Banking Industry Architecture Network (BIAN) framework.

Responsibilities :

• Design & Architecture: Lead the architecture and design of MuleSoft-based integration solutions to streamline business processes and drive digital transformation.
• API Strategy: Define the organization's API strategy including API design standards governance and lifecycle management. Champion API-led connectivity across the organization.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders enterprise architects and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable secure integration solutions.
• Solution Delivery: Oversee the implementation of integration solutions ensuring alignment with the company's overall technology strategy timelines and budget.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of integration specialists and engineers promoting collaboration innovation and continuous improvement.

Reference Number for this position is GZ60258 which is a permanent Hybrid position based in Johannesburg offering a cost to company salary of R1.4m Per annum negotiable on experience and ability.
