Job description

Overview
PM Group Ireland is hiring for a Lead Mechanical Engineer due to successful project wins. Our business is continuing to grow at a local and international level. We are currently recruiting team members to support key project delivery. We are executing exciting and important projects for our multi-national clients, leading to great opportunities to develop your career. The role will focus on projects in the Pharmaceutical and Mission Critical sectors. To be considered for the role you will have previously worked on large projects (TIC > 200MM) from concept to completion.

Location
The role is based in Ireland and the successful hire will be supported with the work permit application and relocation provided.

Hybrid Working
We currently work a hybrid model with a mixture of both office for 2 / 3 days and home / remote working.

Responsibilities
Here's an example of some of the day to day responsibilities:

  1. Developing innovative design solutions for new projects.
  2. Interfacing with client design team / end user.
  3. Lead Technical and Safety reviews.
  4. Design of Building services engineering design – lead the preparation of AFDs, P&IDs, and equipment sizing calculations.
  5. Managing people in the execution of the project life cycle.
  6. Overseeing HVAC system BIM modelling progress by your team.
  7. Planning resources, measuring and reporting of progress of resources against agreed deliverables.
  8. Estimating resource requirements for projects through the life cycle.
  9. Delivery of agreed design scope within budget hours and schedule.

Qualifications
You will have:

  1. Degree in Building services or Mechanical Engineering (Level 8).
  2. Significant design experience in the pharmaceutical, Biopharmaceutical or Chemical industry.
  3. Led teams, investing time in coaching and developing future leaders.
  4. Strong design experience of Utilities; including Steam, LPHW, CHW.
  5. Ability to work and guide teams is essential.
