Ideal candidates will possess significant experience and qualifications, ensuring high standards in all phases of engineering projects.
Take the lead in delivering bespoke engineering solutions for global marine and mining industries!
Is this you?
You're a seasoned Mechanical Engineer who thrives on complex technical challenges and guiding a team to success. Detail-oriented and self-motivated, you're committed to engineering excellence and are at your best when leading bespoke projects from concept to commissioning. You work well under pressure, communicate clearly, and always aim to deliver on specification, within budget, and on time (OSBIT).
What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it)
You'll lead the end-to-end delivery of customised engineering solutions across marine, mining, and offshore sectors. From design and analysis to team coordination and project management, your role ensures precision and innovation. You'll guide concept development, carry out design reviews, oversee installation phases, and mentor junior engineers-ensuring that each bespoke solution meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance.
Where you'll be doing it
Join a globally recognised engineering group known for its pioneering work in maritime and mining technologies. Based in Cape Town, the local division specialises in turnkey, tailor-made projects - from design to lifecycle support. You'll work in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment that values innovation, craftsmanship, and sustainability, giving you the chance to shape high-impact, one-of-a-kind solutions for international clients.
What you'll need
A BSc or BEng in Mechanical Engineering and registration as a Professional Engineer with ECSA. You'll bring 8-10 years' technical leadership in mining, oil & gas, or heavy engineering, with a deep understanding of marine design codes (DNV, Lloyds, ABS). Proficiency in CAD, FEA, and project tools is essential, along with strong analytical, organisational, and leadership skills. Willingness to travel and meet demanding deadlines is a must.
What you'll get
A permanent role with flexible working options, competitive pay, and the chance to influence bespoke engineering projects. You'll join a company that supports your development and places innovation and excellence at the core of everything they do.
