Lead Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Cape Town

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with more than 10-15 years of solid design experience. The candidate will manage design engineering teams and assist the team with intricate designs. Responsibilities include design resource loading and assisting in the appointment of design engineers for new projects.

Qualification and Experience Required:

• B Eng./ BSc Mechanical Engineering
• 10-15 years design experience
• Proven design skills in a similar industry
• Ability to lead a team of design engineers

Responsibilities:

• Team management of design engineers
• Conduct design review meetings
• Ensure accuracy of project management reports (resource loading, dates, task status)
• Review new project/task scope of work and assist with quotation process
