Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Master Automotive Mechanic in Rustenburg to oversee complex repairs, diagnose drivability and engine issues, and guide a workshop team. You will ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction while maintaining efficiency in a busy service department.

The role requires leadership, extensive diagnostic experience, and proficiency with scan tools and oscilloscopes, with a path toward management or senior technical roles within the workshop.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience as a certified automotive mechanic.
• Master Certified or equivalent high-level automotive certifications (e.g., ASE L1-L3).
• Expertise in diagnosing and repairing complex drivability, electrical, and engine issues.
• Proficiency with electronic diagnostic tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on vehicle systems.
• Lead and mentor junior mechanics, providing technical support and training.
• Ensure all repair work is completed accurately, efficiently, and to manufacturer standards.
• Operate and maintain advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Conduct quality control checks before handover to customers.
• Manage parts inventory and order necessary components.
